Photo Aperture » Snetterton Aug09 | Photo Aperture http://photoaperture.co.uk A Blog about photography and photographs Mon, 14 Jan 2013 15:45:21 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.5.1 Snetterton Motorsport (August 2009) http://photoaperture.co.uk/?p=136 http://photoaperture.co.uk/?p=136#comments Sun, 09 Aug 2009 10:21:25 +0000 Admin http://alunowen.org/photo/?p=136 A very exciting weekend of motorsport, including the British Touring Car Championship at the Snetterton racetrack in August 2009.  We camped in the middle of the circuit so were able to see both the practice on the Saturday and the racing on the Sunday.  There is a huge amount of motor sport packed into 2 days, with practice and qualifying usually taking place on the Saturday and the races themselves on the Sunday, although there is some actual racing to be seen on the Saturday for some of the more “minor” classes.  Although the British Touring Cars are the main highlight of the weekend (with Jason Plato chasing a win and eventually managing to secure the championship) there is also Clio Cup, Formula Renault, Porsche Carerra Cup and Ginetta racing.
